Scholarships and Bursaries

At Vinehall, we offer a range of Scholarships and Exhibition Awards for external pupils entering in Year 3 to Year 7 and for internal pupils moving to Year 7.

We aim to recognise those children who show talent and potential, as well as high levels of interest in the areas of Academics, Sport, Drama, Music and Art. 

Scholarships are worth 10% and Exhibition Awards are worth 5% remission of the Vinehall tuition fee.

Children receiving an award will be mentored, challenged and extended in their areas of strength throughout their time at Vinehall.  They will be expected to make a positive contribution to all events associated with their award subject, always give their best and be strong ambassadors for the school.

Scholarships for current Vinehall pupils moving to Year 7

We offer a number of 11+ scholarships to pupils who are currently in Year 6 at Vinehall. These scholarships are for children who are looking to apply for similar scholarships to their chosen senior schools at 13+.  Children applying for these scholarships are expected to be working at a high level in their field. The benchmark for awarding scholarships will be senior schools’ expectations of potential scholars at 13+.  Pupils’ general conduct and approach to school life will also be an important factor in the decision-making process.

Application Deadlines

The deadline for external and internal scholarships for entry in Year 3 to Year 7 in 2025 is Friday 10th January 2025. The scholarship assessment dates are as set out below.
 

Pupils who are offered a scholarship will be informed by February half term 2025. Pupils may apply for a maximum of two scholarships.  If a pupil were to win two awards, one would be honorary.
